Ten Best Moments in the Saga
Its been a wild year since I signed up. I've had my good moments here, and bad moments. In a few days, my blogs will be done. No mas from me. I guess I'll end with my ten best moments of the entire Saga.

10. The Death of Mara Jade; The Legacy of the Force
This death hit hard. I loved Mara before she was killed by that punk Caedus. Her whole life and death sent Luke into a spiral in the midst of a huge Alliance/Rebel War. The Solos and the Skywalkers are torn apart by Jacen's turn to the Dark Side, and now she's dead. I hope the ending of this series is grand and epic (but hey, it is Star Wars,) and Jacen dies. :P

9. The Duel of the Fates; The Phantom Menace
The duel that redeemed almost the entire movie. After watching almost the same amount of lightsabers that we saw in the OT (and both colors!) Maul makes the fanbase as a whole crap their pants with his saber. A double bladed saber in theaters! Butt-kicking ensued, and two mighty warriors are felled. An awesome fight with great choreography.

8. Chulman's Cantina; A New Hope
One of the most iconic parts of ANH, Obi-Wan, Luke and the Droids march into the most "wretched hive of scum and villainy." Tall aliens, burly aliens and creepy aliens alike drink, talk and fight in the Cantina that they find. After a brief run-in with Dr. Evazen and Ponda Baba, Luke and Obi-Wan meet the pilot who will carry them to their destiny.

7. The Clone Wars; Expanded Universe
After hearing about it in A New Hope, who wouldn't want to learn more? Spawning a large amount of stories, we get a war that's full of action, intrigue, clones and Jedi. Ultimately ending in the Jedi's almost destriction, we see a large sense of the Jedi Code at work during a war involving Jedi. Some decide to leave the Order, yet some even defect to the Dark Side. The whole war makes Jedi seem more human.

6. The Rule of Two; Darth Bane: Path to Destruction and Rule of Two
Darth Bane is to Sith as clones were to Jedi. He wiped out the Brotherhood almost entirely. (Its the EU, someone had to survive.) After deeming the Brotherhood of Darkness inferior to the past Sith, he goes and destroys them for the sake of the Sith. Taking on an Apprentice in the form of Darth Zannah, he creates a legacy that lives with the Sith for millenia. And he holds a hooked, purple saber. 'Nuff said.

5. The Identity of Darth Krayt; Legacy
Talking with Cade, Krayt pulls of his mask, revealing A'Sharad Hett's face beneath. He's a Jedi turned Sith, taking revenge on the Empire that wiped out his Order. He and Cade duel, and the future of the Galaxy depends on Cade, and how he uses this knowledge.

4. No, I am your Father!; The Empire Strikes Back
With these words, Luke Skywalker's world was turned upside down. Feelings of confusion, anger and sandess well up in his body, before jumping off a weather vane hanging for dear life, calling for Leia. Vader desperately tries to track down his son under the facade of trying to turn him until their final confrontation one year later.

3. "Did you hear that? They shut down the main reactor. We'll be destroyed for sure.; A New Hope
Kicking off the trilogy, C-3PO and R2-D2 try to escape Stormtroopers and Lord Vader himself. After leaving in an escape pod, the two droids meet up with Luke Skywalker, and the entire fate of the Galaxy is turned upside down by a single line: "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!"
With this small hologram message, Luke and the Droids go to find the old hermit, Ben Kenobi. After a run-in with the Sand People, Obi-Wan presents Luke with a lightsaber, a weapon used by his father once before. After hiring Smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca the mighty Wookiee, they get into the Death Star and the circle becomes complete. Master and Apprentice duel again. Man vs. Machine. Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Darth Vader. In a final swipe, Obi-Wan is killed, letting Luke escape and live to destroy the Empire.

2. "Let me look at you with my own eyes."; Return of the Jedi
Anakin Skywalker was reborn in an act of love and compassion. After being fried by the Emperor, Luke calls to his father, begging for help. Vader, now Anakin Skywalker, picks up his Master and throws him down a shaft to his death. Mortally wounded, Anakin asks for Luke to remove his helmet to really look at the son he never met. After becoming one with the Force, Luke gives him a Jedi's funeral. In an Ewok Village, he is met by the Spirits of Anakin Skywalker, back to his original body of a Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, two of his Jedi Masters.

Birth of the Twins/A New Hope; Revenge of the Sith
Beru and Owen hold their new adopted son to view the twin sunset, just as Luke will do 19 years later. In a Prequel version of this iconic image, it wins number one as the credits roll on my last blog and the end of regular movies in the theaters.
