Two New (for me) PSP games
ENTRY 333: November 29, 2007

Since I will be leaving for a broadcast in Little Rock, I decided to get a couple more games for the PSP. I have the Renegade Squadron that came with it but wanted a couple other games to take up the time on the plane and at the hotel.

Last night I bought two games. STAR WARS LETHAL ALLIANCE and, forgive me, STAR TREK TACTICAL ASSAULT.

Having not heard much about either, I started digging around. I had researched the Lethal Alliance and knew that this was a game I wanted to get for the journey. I popped it in for a bit last night and played a couple intro screens and it was ABSOLUTELY worth my $10. At first I thought, "Wait a minute, didn't we learn that Kyle Kataarn was the one who was sent to retrieve the Death Star plans?" but the first act of the game is tracking down Kyle. This may be a pretty good game.

The other....the STAR TREK game....I hadn't researched. I just happened top find it while I was getting Alliance. I brought it in to work today to try out during a break. It is ok, for now. It might be pretty cool, but with most Star Trek games, you have SO much more to keep track of that it might become a headache. One of the good things is it is like Pirates where you have to make passes at the enemy while your guns recharge. Then I read a review that rated about 6.5. It states there is good action but very little Star Trek. No biggie. It is based on the original series and movies so THAT is the era I like and will be fun to cruise around in it for a while. For $10 as well, it can't be a huge waste of money....can it?

I'm hoping my memory stick arrives in the mail today so I can get cracking on saving games and putting some movies on it for the trip as well. I know there are some hoops to jump through to make video match the Sony codecs, so I want some test time. Otherwise, I guess I'm taking the portable DVD player and watch the flicks that way.
