So THE FORCE UNLEASHED came out yesterday but I had decided to wait till later in the week to buy it. I had a discount at Best Buy and planned on late in the week going and grabbing the game for the PSP. THEN, my wife said, let's just run to Target and you can get it there. I'm glad I did.

I had some down time today and I'm lucky enough to work where we can use our down time for our own purposes. Mine was to hit TFU.

I liked the opening level where you play as Vader and get to learn your moves. Not terribly hard, but it isn't really supposed to be. It's a warm up. Then we get to start as The Apprentice. VERY COOL! Going through and, pardon me, UNLEASHING THE FORCE all over the environments is amazing. Pretty easily done and then came the AT-ST. First round I lost but I love the way you start right there again ready to go. It plays off the GOD OF WAR engine that brings in certain button moves you have to make to finish off the enemy. Not completely a fan of that, but it works. Fighting Rahn was actually a little harder. OK, a lot harder. It took me several tries to take him down. I started the 2nd level but had to quit and actually do some work. THE NERVE!!!!

Anyway, a very fun game from the get go. Troopers flying through the air, being thrown off of platforms, throwing the hull of a TIE Fighter at the enemy....this all adds up to GREAT FUN! Now I'm going to seek the PS2 version, then the Wii (because someday I will own one) and the DS (when the price drops to $20). The thing with the DS games, like Lethal Alliance, is you actually have to figure and solve some things. I dig that baby.

Another plus to going to Target was finding a LEGACY COMIC PACK. I've not read any of the comics but want to and will start buying the TPB volumes soon. THE ARTWORK is awesome and the characters are pretty flippin' sweet. You've got CADE SKYWALKER with his rifle (need to get him a lightsaber from my leftovers from others) and DARTH TALON. You know, I know she's only a comic character, but.....she's still HOT! One of the coolest characters to come around.

The trip to Target meant spending more money in the end, but totally worth it. TOTALLY!!!!
