A Quick Update
Here are some quick updates.

First the catch up: For those who don't know my job ends on June 30. Rather than slip into self pity I decided it was time to chase an 18 year dream of getting out of Indiana and moving on to California, despite the economy, or maybe in spite of it. Moving across the country with no job lined up. I will be hitting the pavement running.

The sale of the house is pending. We plan on being in Thousand Oaks, California by mid July.

Bought a new Prius....cool car. Great mileage!

The collection may have to go away. I will hang on to the pieces I really like but I still think maybe this is why I collected for so long. Who knows. Will most likely sell it once we get out there and I can re-evaluate everything. Maybe it won't have to be sold but a good chance it will.

I have recorded my BMF vlog for a third time, the first two didn't work (bad tapes). It will be shorter and not as great as the first or second but it will be done soon.

EVEN with saying I may have to sell the collection, I continue to buy stuff like I am a junkie, which I suppose I am, in a way.

Turning 43 in a week and about to journey off on the greatest adventure I have ever had the honor to embark on. It's scary but totally doable. I will keep updates coming and will direct people over to the blog and that where I will be documenting the trip.

Congrats on the car!

I have no idea where in California Thousand Oaks is but think of it this way...you'll be that much closer to where The Maker lives than if you stayed in Indiana. ;)

We will be watching your journey with great interest. :D

Whelp, I can tell you this; you'll sure LOVE Cali weather that's for sure. It's the only thing us Cali's can brag about these days. :^O

(if I'm still here - LOL)

Don't joke around like that Nobby...My heart THUDS every time you say that. :_|

You got it. Just a few hour drive.

Ohm...try more like a 6 hour drive if you break the speed limit, don't have any traffic and use HWY 5 route to Northern Cali, which is where Nobby and I live at the moment. :^O

Good luck Slow,

A few of my best mates recently lost jobs where I work but they've all managed to find other work, so don't be disheartened there are jobs out there. Moving to Cali must be exciting.

Wow. You have SO much going on! First, Happy Birthday in advance. But also...congratulations on a new start, a new life, and an awesome attitude. It's truly exciting to think that you're turning what could be viewed as a bad situation by some into the adventure of a lifetime. I admire you...more people should think like you do. I wish you the best of luck, and I suspect you'll make the most of this. :)

Good to hear that you haven't fallen into hopelessness and you're still chasing your dreams. That's very inspiring. God bless you and I'll pray for you.

I wish you the best of luck, and I suspect you'll make the most of this. I have never been this serious about making something work in my life. It's going to work. :)

Good luck! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and I look forward to more updates! Thank you. Once everything gets under way, I will let everyone know where to go to read the blogs and watch the videos, if I can get them up as we go...

A very big CONGRATS to you, and GOOD LUCK!!! Thank you VERY much!

It isn't always about the end. It's about the journey that gets one there. As it says in the song PRIME MOVER by RUSH, "The point of the journey is not to arrive. Anything can happen" That is my theme for this adventure....and of course Star Wars

Good to hear that you haven't fallen into hopelessness and you're still chasing your dreams. That's very inspiring. God bless you and I'll pray for you. Thank you. I sense a larger story than that which will get blogged about. I will possibly write a story based on this move and it's circumstances.
