Darth Bane novels
While i was reading Star Wars stuff on the Internet, it amazed me the amount of people who disliked the novels of Darth Bane by Drew Karpyshyn, mainly because some contradictions with the comic.

So I thought I will just write here my own critics and thoughts.

For starters I will say that Jedi vs Sith is not one of my favorite comic series, and there are a lot of reasons for this, first the title, i think it just lacks creativity, but anyway, while I was reading it, I felt it like I was reading something totally different from the Star Wars universe, I was wondering when Merlin will pop out to guide Aragorn with this lightsaber excalibur to defeat the Dark Lord Sauron X_x, all that armors and stuff, I never felt like all of that could fit in Star Wars, and when I saw Lord Farfallas ship, I was like I can't believe this :O, next thing I will see is the Titanic coming out from hyperspace to help the jedi.

Well all that was the artistic stuff, I don't know if it was the idea of lia ribacchi or ramon bachs, but I think it was to medieval for Star Wars, if we compare it with Tales of the Jedi (a comic series I love by the way). Anyway the art style, wich is different to everything I have mentioned, is something i like a lot, more cartoonish, but it worked for me.

Now about the story, I have nothing to say, I just loved the way in wich this serie put toguether the words of Yoda, and the myth of the Valley of the Jedi, with the comic all that stuff from Jedi Knight reached a new cannon level (Game's cannon is lower than comics cannon if I'm not mistaken).

Now about the novels, yes I noticed some changes, the order of some events changed, and the participation of some characters was almost errased from it. But I like to interpret it like this: The comic was from the point of view of some kids, specially Darovit, and its common that kids tend to exagerate and/or alter some facts, but it's understandable, they were in the middle of a figh of two unstopable forces. Now the novels specially the first one, takes the point of view from Darth Bane, oviously some kids would be irrelevant for him, and the war itself was of no importance to him, it was only a mean, to rise to power. And the altered order of some events, I don't think it's that critical.

Now about the second novel, TRoT, I think it was good, taking on account the short period, but the end I was like o please, I'm sure that you realize that even a crazed sith who killed 5 jedis, at least 1 battle master wouldn't die so easily, even if he went insane, even if he was weakened, and please look at the right arm, that wound (hand loss) can't be recent, and what don't you feel the awkward absense of the force on that guy. If only Zannah had channeled her power one last time trought Darovit, that would have been more credible, even with the complications this involve.

Well with all this, I will just say that the Darth Bane novels are not the best novels that I have read, but I like them a lot, the story, the references to old lore, and I hope I can read a 3th novel of Bane. :)
