Back to Where it Began
Vermont. Yes, I have returned to the place where it all started. The place where I got my Hyperspace account. It has almost been two years since I gotten Hyperspace and I still remember the day I got it.

My parents are university teachers and they are asked to come to Middlebury, Vermont to teach at the summer language school at Middlebury College. Not every year but my parents are friends with the dean here, so they are asked to come twice a year. I have never really liked coming down. It was an 8 hour drive from where I lived and the summers here are very hot and humid. I stayed on campus with my family at Sperry House. For any of you who have been to Middlebury College, it's a nice, little house on Franklin Street. That was two years ago and it feels like yesterday.

We got into Middlebury around the end of the month of June. We had a labtop for a computer and it was equiped with high-speed Internet; provided by the College of course. One day I was browsing the net and I realized that 2004 was coming up and that means that the Episode III buzz was on it's way, so I thought I got check out starwars.com. When I got there, it was much differnet from the Episode II days. It looks like it does today and they were promoting something called Hyperspace. I was uncertain of what it was a the time. All I knew that it was a paying memebership for starwars.com. I thought that was wierd because when I came to starwars.com for Episode II updates, there was no paying memebership. Curious, I read the benefits of joining.

When I was done, I was really excited. All these things they said for Episode III were really exciting. So, I asked my parents if I could join and they said that it was okay with them and on July IIth 2003 I was a Hyperspace member. I was quite excited. These new set diaries came up and each day I read them. I then discovered the Message Boards and the Cantina and I began posting there. Things started to pickup: Before the Helment came, then Art of Revenge, then KnollVision, then the Web docs, and then the Clone Wars micro-series. I was being filled with endless information about Star Wars. I couldn't wait for Episode III.

Well, two years have passed and the saga is finished. It is wierd how time just flies. Heck, I was about to enter highschool when I got Hyperspace and now I'm going into grade 11. I just can't believe how fast it went bye.

For now, I'm just going to try to enjoy my stay in Middlebury. I'm here for 6 weeks, so I might as well make the best out of it. A new dean is coming in next year, so this might be my last time here. I not totally sure about that but I know it will come by very soon.
