This is really a 3-mini-blogs-in-1 combination about the Skywalkers.
Anakin Skywalker-Correct me if I'm wrong, but he was born without a father, was he not? I believe that when Qui-Gon asked Shmi who the father was, she said "there was no father". I've always personally believed that it was the Force itself that wanted her to concieve a child, like in the Bible when Mary became pregnant while still a virgin. However, while reading Legacy of the Force (not really having anything to do with the rest of this) something clicked.
It was actually when I was reading about the Jaina and Zekk relationship (again, only mentioned once) that it clicked. That made me start thinking about Ben(I'm not really sure why)...and I realized that Mara realized she was pregnant when something along the lines of a slug fell on her arm and entered her (if my memory serves me correctly [which it may not]).
That made me wonder...did Sidious/Plageuis learn the same technique that Luke learned (if it was a technique) or however he did it and use that to impregnate Padme?
On a similar thread...
I thought it has been mentioned in the EU that Anakin had been away from Coruscant for most of the Clone War. I know that in the Clone Wars comics and cartoons that he is on Coruscant for a while.
But Padme was pregnant...assuming that he had been away on the Outer Rim Sieges for more than 8-9 months, then how did she become pregnant?
Was it the same way his mother and Mara possibly became pregnant?
If so, that would be three generations of Skywalkers concieved in an unusual manner...and two of them (so far) have radically changed the Force's balance. Yes, I know that Luke was really only assisting Vader in destroying the Sith, but he
did start to rebuild the Jedi Order, which has to count for something.
Does this mean big plans for Ben? His father created the New Jedi Order, his grandfather destroyed the old one...What does this mean of the destiny of Ben Skywalker?
Corrections and expanditures welcome!
