Palpatine Misread the Prophecy

I'm not sure how many of you have read the novel Dark Lord, but I just read an interesting part. Palpatine is contemplating the prophecy that Anakin was created to fulfill and James Luceno writes this:

Has anyone seen the Leprechaun movies with Warwick Davis? Man, that little guy can be SCARY! I watched The Leprechaun 2 on Sci-Fi tonight, and I will never see Wicket the same way again!

As we all know by now in ROTS Palpatine tells Anakin the Sith have the "power to create life". This of course is what fuels Anakin's fall to the dark side, etc. etc. But does anyone else catch the irony of this statement? Anakin already had that power!
