This is very dangerous.
It isn't as glamorous as a lightsaber but it's still a powerful tool. It can be used to do harm. Or it can be used to help.

I'm talking about the Internet.

Please help spread the word about the dangers of "The Choking Game".

This is perhaps inappropriate to say... but that's a really funny pic you chose.

Why "funny"? I was trying to make the point that choking is not a game.

It is inappropriate.

Strangulation is a form of execution, it cuts the oxygen flow to the brain just like that. The Nazis in WWII used that method, among others, in their death camps. And kids are getting high using basically the same method? That's horribly stupid.

I can't think of what to say except, well, heck, it's just ridiculous

It's Stooge. I'm sure he didn't mean to be offensive.

I find it... I wouldn't say humorous... but strange that you even used a picture to associate with such a serious topic. Star Wars is generally light hearted, with some due exceptions. Mind my analogy, but it's like saying that we should stop hunting and killing animals, and pairing it with a picture of Bambi. In my opinion, even including the visual is inappropriate.

Perhaps I'm going to far with this. I don't know.

But on the topic, this is very tragic that this is what today's youth has come to. Unfortunately, behavior like this can't be monitered as easily, as, say drug use. Very sad.

Obviously, I disagree. The title is "Star Wars", not "Star Peace". War is not "light hearted". War is about death and hate. I consider thinking of war as "light hearted" to be very disturbing.

its really rather sad and pathetic; for the life of me I cant see how this type of thing should even become a THOUGHT let alone POPULAR among kids...its a crazy world out there, sigh.

lighten up on Stooge, that picture was a rather "funny" choice...not funny HA HA but funny peculiar...

I have heard of this "game," and it's frightening. You wonder who thinks to start this stuff...what gave the first kid the idea? So sad.

The picture...it's a funny-ish moment in the film...hard to look at it any other way.

I never once said war itself is light hearted. You're just twisting my words. The way war is portrayed in Star Wars is usually light hearted.

Real war, like the one we are in now, is far from light hearted.

If anyone thinks the topic of "The Choking Game" should be addressed in "more serious" forums then, please, by all means, take it to those forums. That is exactly what I'm asking people to do. The point is to educate as many people as possible. Everywhere. Even if it is a message that people are uncomfortable talking about. The people who feel uncomfortable talking about it may be the ones who need the information the most.
