We're now within 30 hours of the release of Revenge of the Sith in some parts of the world. Many posters here, myself included, already have tickets. Other fans are camping out to be first in line, Star Wars merchandise and hype are everywhere, and even the late-night talk shows are making Star Wars jokes...

The days to come will inevitably see a great many disagreements on the message boards. Undoubtedly, some will think ROTS is the best Star Wars film ever, and some will consider it the worst. I can only hope that we'll all remember during those debates that there are far more important things in life than disagreements on a Star Wars message board, and also that we're all fans here. Whatever we think about the Empire, the Expanded Universe or Jar-Jar Binks, we all share a common bond: We're Star Wars fans, we all like the same series of films (and, as often as not, novels, games, comics and other spin-off material). Surely that's what really counts now...

The days and weeks and months of long anticipation are almost over now: Enjoy this time, it's a moment to remember in Star Wars fandom.
