Ah, well, how time goes by...
Sadly, I haven't had time to update my blog lately, it's been a busy month and I've had more distractions than I bargained for. Still, I have several topic ideas that I'm working on, and I'll try to post some in the next week...
At any rate, I was perusing the news archive at starshipmodeller.com for the first time in weeks today, when I happened upon the news that Fine Molds will be releasing a 1:72 scale kit of the
Millennium Falcon:

The preview photos in the second link look amazing, and after their X-wing, Delta-7, TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor and
Slave I (although I've only managed to get copies of the first two myself, but I've read reviews of the others...) I have confidence that this kit will make good all the many shortcomings of the much-maligned AMT kit.
After 28 years, there's good reason to hope that we're finally getting an
accurate, beautifully-detailed kit of the single most famous ship in the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
And now I can have fun modifying the AMT kit into my own YT-1300 configuration without worrying about correcting for accuracy...
