ok, this is one of those blogs where i'm a bit less articulate and more reflective.

i read somewhere on the SW message board that Hayden Christensen was thinking about hanging up his acting career and going into architecture (the thread is based on a headline from The Sun paper online edition). if this is even remotely true i'm highly disapointed not in Hayden but some of my fellow SW fans!

yes, i admit, Hayden is not the best actor i've seen, but he has improved a great deal just from his previous SW film! like i read on someone else's blog last night, Hayden does Anger very well, and that's what GL needed for the younger version of Darth Vader. i think Hayden did a good job in ROTS.

what i'm p.o.'ed about is how so many SW fans just needlessly, and adhominously, attacked this young man! instead of simply saying something like, 'he's not the best actor, but, hey, he's still new to the field...give him time.' or, 'his strengths are in other aspects of acting', many of these fans have to make fun of Hayden, the man instead of dealing with the profession of acting.

ok, let's bottom line this, folks: i think many fans--specifically, male fans--are simply jealous of Hayden because he is a handsome, young guy who's got an actiing part in a movie they wish they could have! not all of his critics. some of the criticisms of Hayden are warrented. but when they are personal and insulting, what else are we supposed to think?

i hope word gets to Hayden that some SW fans think he did a much better--indeed, good--job in portraying Anakin/Darth Vader in ROTS.
