Wookieepedia's featured articles for Week 44, 2007: Guri and Jadru

Guri was a human replica droid created by the Imperial researchers Simonelle and Massad Thrumble and the only one of her kind engineered as an assassin. After being sold to Prince Xizor, head of Black Sun, she served as his lieutenant and was one of the few individuals the necessarily paranoid crime lord believed he could trust.

After the fall of Black Sun and the death of Xizor, Guri set out on a personal quest to locate Thrumble and get him to purge her assassin programming so she could start a new life, though Xizor's niece, Savan, attempted to stop her and to ensure the droid's continuing service to Black Sun.

After defeating Savan, Guri teamed up with Dash Rendar, working together as a mercenary team before agreeing to serve as the template for a new range of human replica droids.

Jadru was a felinoid enchantress who lived on the forest moon of Endor. She lived in an elaborate lair a short distance from Bright Tree Village. Jadru resided in the center of the structure where she sat on an ornate throne which controlled the entrance and pathways into her home. Besides her treasured fortress, Jadru was the owner of a magical Quarf which served as her pet and assistant, carrying out special tasks that she would entrust it with.

At some point, Jadru set her eyes on the Ewoks' sunstar, a powerful object that had a variety of uses, including the ability to increase one's own magical talents. To seize the stone, Jadru sent out her pet Quarf to capture the Ewoks' princess, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka so that she could ransom her for possession of the sunstar. After "Silky," as the young Ewok children had named her pet, infiltrated the village, the Quarf captured Kneesaa and brought her back to Jadru's lair. However, before Jadru could ransom the young princess, Kneesaa's friend Wicket W. Warrick was able to rescue the princess and led Jadru on a chase throughout the tunnels of the fortress. Unfortunately for the enchantress, Wicket was able to trick her into leaving her throne and succeeded in trapping her within her own maze.
