Wookieepedia goes Aurebesh
In an unprecedented, drastic, unanimous decision, the administration of Wookieepedia decided late last night, March 31, 2008, to switch the entire site over to Aurebesh, the in-universe language of Star Wars.

As user and fellow administrator Lord Hydronium puts it, "Because Wookieepedia is supposed to resemble an in-universe encyclopedia, it was decided that we should switch over to Aurebesh-which as you know is the alphabet all Basic text in the Star Wars universe is written in-effective April 1st, board time. The main page was the first to be changed, and we hope to get around to the other pages within the week."

If you need to brush up on your Aurebesh, head on over to our article—still, for the most part, in English. For users who wish to stick with English, you can still view the original version of our Main Page here.

Be sure to check back tomorrow to see how the site continues to evolve!

actually, if one wears those red & blue paper glasses that you get at 3D movies, they help translate Aurebesh to English just dandy.... :D
