i was reading that jedi vs sith: essential guide to the force last night. i was reading the part about the chosen one. i think it was a part "written" by master tionne. well, it says that maybe anakin didn't fulfill the prophecy. after all, the sith have returned. you wanna know what i think? i think the jedi are still blided by their own dogma. they can't seem to accept the fact that the sith exist. they can't seem to understand that evil must exist if good exist.
does the re-emergence of the sith mean that anakin failed in fulfilling the prophecy? not at all. what does balance really mean? it means all sides are equal. i've noted a million times to friends that anakin had to destroy the jedi in order to bring balance. think about it. too much good isn't balance. sure its great if everyone were good. but that isnt a balanced galaxy. what anakin did was he destroyed the jedi and destroyed the sith so that the next generation could start with a clean slate. thats why anakin exists in the grey of the force. because life is grey. every single thing that happened to him was meant to happen. it had to happen so that he would be the person he needed to be to bring the balance. if he was a goody two shoes, he would have been the perfect jedi and he would have been unable to aid in the destruction of the jedi. that would have left things unbalanced. if he was totally evil, the opposite would have happened. what he did was he lived between those two worlds. he was meant to suffer tragedies. he was destined to experience great joy. he was meant to be exactly the person that he was. and, by bringing balance, he opened the door for the new generation of jedi and sith to begin anew. someday, maybe things will become unbalanced again. in that time, perhaps the chosen one will return to restore balance. but, for now, i think that there is balance. the jedi and sith are yin and yang. you can't have one without the other. i think things are exactly as they should be. and, of course, the prophecy has been fulfilled.
