Awards Ceremony (Not From A New Hope)
At the 2006 Origins convention, held last weekend, I was inducted into the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design (AAGAD) Hall of Fame.
Though I'm still writing the occasional role-playing game supplement, it's been about a decade since gaming was my main occupation, so it's very gratifying that I've been remembered this way.
A full list of Origins award winners appears at GamingReport.com. I'd like to extend congratulations to all this year's winners, particularly my fellow HoF inductees: Jolly R. Blackburn, Rodger MacGowan, Dennis Mize, and Mike Pondsmith.

Congratulations! What games did you help design a decade ago?

Well, the entire listing is on my web site, on my Game Credits page. I wrote or co-wrote 12 games/supplements for the Hero System, 16 for various flavors of D&D, a few for GURPS and other systems, scripted a computer game or two, edited a couple of gaming magazines, and so on.

Congrats on the induction. I've been out of gaming (from the player's side) for years now, but I like to stay up on some of the goings-on. Looks like some pretty good company you're in, and you fit right in with them...

Congratulations!

I have just started reading Betrayal and I have to say I'm very glad you took up writing novels instead of games!

Nice! Now if we could just coerce you to assist the dark side of Star Wars Galaxies...there may be real hope for it's future.

I would love to see a quest written by you for SWG. *hint hint*

Actually, I interviewed at Sony (Austin) when Jump to Lightspeed was being put together. But their mission design tools were in-house only, and I wanted to work mostly from my own home, so it didn't work out.

Hi back at you. And I hope to see y'all at Dragon*Con.
