Star Wars: The Best of 2005... I Made The List!

StarWars.com recently made a list of the best Star Wars stuff to happen in 2005. Needless to say, I didn't come away with any of the top prizes, but I did make it onto the list.

Here's what they have to say:

"The History of the Mandalorians: No one knew just how much there was to know about the mysterious Mandalorians until Star Wars Insider #80 made its way to subscribers. Author Abel G. Pe�a expanded on some of the most tenuous hints about these armored nomads, validating any Star Wars fan who also categorized himself a Mandalorian fan."

I have to say I'm surprised, but very, very pleasantly surprised. What an awesome honor. They even got the ~ over the n.

A special thanks to the folks at StarWars.com, my buddy Joe Corroney for his eye-popping illustrations on the article, and especially to the fans for being so supportive. It's a privilege entertaining you.

Well that is disgustingly cool, nice one mate!
Personally I'm hoping that this time next year it's me writing a blog thanking the Insider for publishing one of my articles (although I do have to thank Model and Collectors Mart for publishing my two articles on Indiana Jones and ET this year)
That must have made your year, and it was a damn fine article too. All the best for '06!

Congrats Janlomona! When folks ask me about how to write for Star Wars, I always say make your bones some place else first and build up your CV and by default your understanding of the writing business. If not swinging wide open, the doors at least start cracking open.
