We are live!

That's right folks, abelgpena.com is finally up and running. Like I said, I've always sort of been one step behind when it comes to technology. Didn't get a computer until I was out of high school and still clung desperately to my pager*** when cell phones had already become a way of life. So it was only recently that I decided to buy my own domain name to give myself a virtual office.

The site launched two days ago. After putting the final touches on Lord of War last January, I finally found a second to spare to dedicate myself to getting my website up. (What this really means is wrangling one of my old journalism friends into helping me create a basic website with the promise of pizza, burgers, and beer, and a little Road Warrior thrown in for good measure).

There's a lot of cool stuff to do at the new site, including access to all my Star Wars work on the web, as well as my other writings, like my new column at WorldFamousComics.com and MySpace blog. (While you're there, you can also check out my MySpace profile, where I'd be more than happy to add you as a friend ).

There's also my bio, interviews, a message board link, and even a FAQ you can browse, where I try to give a reasonable answer to the burning question: "How can I become a Star Wars author?" Keep your eye on the Media page for constant news updates, and stop by the Contact page, laugh at the picture, and drop me a line!

Of course, now that the website is off my to-do list, I can get on with this Star Wars Insider Legacy of the Force tie-in I've been commissioned to write... ~ Abel G. Peņa
