L'histoire d'un Soldat Inconnu
I just saw the cover of Lucasfilm Magazine #58, the français version of Star Wars Insider #86, and found emblazoned on it the words "Dossier Grievous: L'histoire d'un Soldat Inconnu," along with the Separatist general's metal mug. So that's how you say "Unknown Soldier" in French! Très cool.

Needless to say, I want a copy of this. I think it's the coolest thing when I see my work translated into other languages. My French is limited, to say the least, but I'm familiar with the other romance languages, so it isn't completely Greek--so to speak. On top of that, I haven't had one of my features as the cover of a Star Wars print publication since my very first Star Wars piece, "The Emperor's Pawns" in Star Wars Gamer #5. Wonder how I can get a hold of this one.

In any case, for those wondering the reason for the delayed Endnotes for the Story of General Grievous, blame it on the fact that I've been busy putting another Star Wars project to bed. But my deadline is right around the corner, so hold tight. What's more, since Grievous is also a major movie villain, I thought it'd be fitting to write a Making Of... style entry, explaining how I came up with Grievous back story, the Droid General's birth name, inspirations for the Kaleesh race, and other interesting facts.

In the meantime, for those this side of the Atlantic, Star Wars Insider #86 is still on newsstands through April 17. Also, here's illustrator Joe Corroney's in-depth discussion on the art side of things for L'histoire du Général Grievous... au revoir! ~ Abel G. Peña

So that's how you say "Unknown Soldier"

Well "History of an Unknown Soldier" anyway. :D

Tsk tsk, Rive. Everybody knows "story" and "history" both translate histoire. ;)

You've got me on the indefinite article, though.

I have this issue of the Lucasfilm mag. I can scan the article and send it to you via e-mail if you want to read the translation of your work into French.
