The VIP blog pickins have been pretty slim lately. Here's a couple videos to spruce things up.
The first is an animated outtake on the set of
Revenge of the Sith, in which Samuel L. Jackson and Yoda have words--strong language in this one, kiddies. Yet another in the already cliched genre of
Pulp Fiction/Star Wars crossovers,
Master Windu Vs. Yoda on Star Wars still manages to defy predictability for some good laughs. Of course, as a fan of both movies, as well as
South Park, I probably would've loved it anyway.
The second is the classic
Saturday Night Live: Natalie Raps video, for anyone who missed it. Portman wasn't actually half bad, sort of a chick version of Eminem (especially with that short hair), which is a compliment in my book. Historically, there haven't been many good female rappers, but Missy Elliot's about 10 years ahead of just about everybody, black, white, man or woman. Hip hop has buckled under its own weight in the last decade, and it's pretty much only good for dancing "up in the club" these days... which isn't bad.
Speaking of art years ahead of its time, catch Nat in
V for Vendetta.
