Hey Rob!

Remember one thing, brother: when someone reacts with an anger to something that seems extreme or out of proportion to the thing they're reacting to, it's more an indication of a deficiency they feel in themselves than in the thing they're reacting to.

Revenge of the Sith is a great movie, maybe the best Star Wars movie. Enjoy it. ;)

Take care,
Abel

Holy #### Batman! Abel G.Pena actually e-mailed me! ....

Well I know but usually I like this guys stuff but man O man he really tears Episode III apart! Did you read the review? It was a few of the objections I had about the film and some more.

Personally I enjoyed the prequels but Episode III did leave some plot holes. It just seems so abrupt how Anakin turned. Not only that but Greivous...well...seemed a bit disappointing. If your a real Star Wars fan you must have seen the slick, badass moves he pulled in the Clone Wars series. Not bad for a half dead alien with a strange name.... yet Obi-Wan snuffs the guy pretty easily.

I'd like to hear your take on it... if you would?

P.S. Thanks for the prompt reply...I didn't expect that! 0 _ o

I feel you, Rob.

I also agree with several of the complaints people had about Episode 3, but what puts me off is the vehemence with which a lot of these people react. It's like, dude, chill the #### out and get on with your life, and take your outrageous hatred and aggression with you.

If I may, I'll suggest why a lot people have a problem with Revenge of the Sith. It's because these particular people don't feel they are largely in control of their lives or are unhappy with the decisions they've made... which is to say they haven't understood or actively implemented the power of freewill in their own lives. Another way of saying this is that their choices are dominated by fear rather than their desires. Anakin joined evil for a good reason, to save Padme, but he KNEW he was joining evil. EVIL, brother. The egoism, self-hatred, and self-pity inherent in that kind of decision is totally mindboggling when you've got your head on straight.

But some folks don't see that. What they see is Anakin being a baby, of falling too easily to the dark side (never mind that they adore the violence of the duel between him and Obi-Wan at the end of the movie). What they need to be convinced is that "POW" factor, because that's what they feel they're missing from their own lives. Need I mention that many of these complainers hate their jobs and have never been in love? Never felt the magnitude in their gut and their nuts of a woman who rocks your world? Never tried to obtain her? Have been terribly wronged and never forgiven the loser who was the wronger?

As for Grievy, I was a bit disappointed too with how quick Obi-Wan took him out in Revenge. I wanted to see an all-out, slam-bang sword fight like the one with the Kali statue/goddess in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. But the duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin at the end of the movie is so over the top, it doesn't really faze me.

Hope that answers your question, Rob.

Take care,
Abel ~ Abel G. Peņa
