It was said in Episode II that Jedi are forbidden to marry. Okay.

In Episode I, we get the impression that who your father is, has a lot to do with why you have force powers. Qui-Gon asks Shmi very quickly who Anakin's father was.

We get the distinct impression in the original trilogy that Luke is powerful in the force becuase his father was.

t seems clear that heredity plays a large part in if you will be strong in the force or not.

My question is this, if all the Jedi didn't marry and don't have kids, where do the Force sensitive beings come from? Does the Force randomly make some children Force capable? I'm not sure I'm wording this very well.

There seem to be alot of Jedi at the beginning of Episode I. Who were all of their parents? Were they Force sensitive too? If so, why weren't they Jedi? If they were Jedi, how were they allowed to have kids? It seems clear that there must be some other way that people get Force powers. Does anyone have answers?
