anakin as the most powerful jedi/sith
Ok, i hear alot about anakin being the most powerful jedi ever. and i also hear alot of stuff about how hes not the most powerful jedi ever. technically speaking, he wasnt the most powerful jedi OR sith. but he did have the most POTENTIAL for being the best. so lets take a gander, shall we?

ok, so as a jedi, anakin is arrogant and has an ego as big as the galaxy. alot of people give him grief about how he lost to dooku and obiwan in the p.t. and to luke in the o.t. anakin didnt have the amount of training any of those other guys had. almost all jedi were taken from their families soon after they were born to begin training. so already most jedi had 9 years on anakin before he came to train.

second, anakin never went through the rigorous training at the jedi temple that the other did. he may have gone through a few years of it, but while he was there he was the best. and he didnt have to worry about becoming a padawan after his temple training. most jedi go through the training at the temple and then btwn the ages of 11 and 13(or 14 i cant remember exactly) they are picked by a master to become a padawan. if they arent picked, they go off to the agricorps to become farmers. which was almost obi wans fate had qui gon not happened to be on a mission where obi wan was sent to be a farmer at.

so anakin had already been chosen to be a padawan by obi wan. obi wan was one of the greatest jedi around, and you can argue with that all you want, but he did get on the council, and many jedi never get to sit in that circle of masters. so ya, obi wan was pretty great as a jedi, and decent as a teacher. i think if obi had taken on a normal apprentace and not the chosen one, he would have seemed to be a much better teacher. but since he did have anakin as his padawan, some people like to question his teachings. obi wan taugh anakin just fine, it was anakin who had a problem listening.

anakin did pretty much what he wanted bc he had become so cocky from being called the chosen one and every one talking up his ego by saying how special he was. so he figured whatever he did, it wouldnt matter bc he was the chosen one and an exception would always be made for him. he could do no wrong, so to speak. which was a large part of him becoming a sith. he was never a great jedi, speaking in terms of helping people and thinking things through. he did it for the glory. even back on tatooine he wanted to be a jedi bc they were so reveared throughout the galaxy. they were like hollywood celebs. everyone loves em, but they screw up every once in a while. same thing with jedi.

anakin never had the proper training, nor enough training to become a full jedi. he had too many emotions from being a slave on tatooine. by the time he left for coruscant he already had in his head what HE thought was wrong and right, his own 'point of view'. he didnt share the exact view as the jedi, bc he was not raised as a jedi. he was raised a slave. even considering that i think he did a pretty good job of fitting in.

so by the time obi chops him up in ep 3, palpy has messed with anakins mind so much as to change his point of view as to where he thinks the jedi are evil. a complete turnaround from what he thought as a young slave. first he thought the jedi could do no wrong, they were the greatest, he even thinks they cant die(remember his talk at dinner with qui gon) and then in ep 3 he thinks the jedi are evil and are trying to take over the galaxy and rule the way they see fit. when he is the one trying to do it in reality. he refers to the galaxy as his new empire. its never his empire. thats just his galaxy wide ego flaring up again.

so when he was a padawan and a jedi knight, he had the most potential, but didnt follow the training. i will say he did VERY well considering tho. he was the youngest member of the council, he acheived that status of jedi knight rather quick, and was well on his way to becoming a master. but yoda and obi wan were still better JEDI than he was, but werent as in tune with the force as i think anakin was. anakin was in tune with the force a great deal, he just didnt know how to use it right.

fast forward to darth vader. hes a pretty good sith, even tho he lost lots of his medichlorians during his battle with obi. he is the face of the empire. where he goes, terror and ruin are close behind. when he walks in the room, he strikes fear in everyone. but, ol' emperor palpy is far more powerful than vader. you may say vader was more powerful by killing palpy in rotj, but what about all those years of service to the emperor. he never challanged palpatine. he always did what he was told. and just goes he threw him down a power chute doesnt make him more powerful. he jsut caught him off gaurd. i mean say a geek went up against bruce lee. but the geek had a gun, and lee didnt. lee could be kickin ###, but if the geek pulled out a gun and shot lee, that doesnt make the geek more powerful.

so this is my list of most powerful jedi/sith
1: palpatine bc he takes over the galaxy. he used the power of his mind and his wits to gain power, and the force to keep it. he manipulated the senate and the jedi into pretty much giving him the galaxy.
2: yoda bc he was the head of the jedi council for many many years, had the most wisdom and experience out of any of the jedi. hes behind palpatine bc he lost to him in ep 3.
3: obi wan bc not only was he a great duelist, he had the wisdom and experience to be a great master. he also trained anakin, no easy task, even if he did turn out to be a sith. but that wasnt his fault, it was palp's great manipulation that did that.
4: anakin in the pt. he gets number 4 bc hes never at the top. hes never number one. first he was a slave. then hes a padawan. then a jedi knight. he doenst even get to the rank of master. he depended on the prophecy to bring him power, so he never worked real hard for it. he answers to yoda and obi wan.
5: darth vader. hes below anakin bc he is more machine than man, so he has less maneuverability and midichlorians that anakin. he has too much anger and hate to think clearly.

i know that was alot to read, but you all must have alot of comments after all that. so comment away.
