do you remember when you just a little tyke, maybe five or six, and every time you got a new pair of shoes, you thought you could run faster? well if you haven't, go get some new shoes. i bet you'll run faster.

anyway, i was reading some comments on the blogs like any sane person would do, and i came across one that included anakin's little phrase:

"love can't save you padme! only my new powers can do that!"

and i have no idea why, but for some reason, it seems like he just got himself a new pair of shoes. new shoes don't really make you run faster, as you soon found out when you got older. just like annie's new powers didn't do a hoot and a hollar's worth of good for saving padme. new shoes get old and worn down, and eventually you need another pair. lil annie didn't understand the whole concept of new shoes. once he realized his new powers didn't work, he should have gone out and got some newer ones.
