So i was just sitting here watchin some conan and looking around my star wars out room, and thinking, how many other fans collect as much as i do?
what do they collect? then i figured it was time for a blog entry.

so im only 15 and ive been a huge fan since they re-released the o.t. in 97. it was a memorable night. i was about 7 when they were re releasing the films around town. they released one movie a week for 3 weeks and they only lasted for that week. i remember my mom saying there was this movie out called empire strikes back. i was like, whats that about. and she said it was the sequal to a movie called star wars that she had really liked as a kid. and, the taste my mom has in movies isnt my taste. so i figured it was pretty lame. she was like come on, theres lasers and ships in outspace fighting each other, itll be fun. i still didnt wanna go but she said if i didnt like it i wouldnt have to go to the next thing she wanted me to go to. so i said fine and we went off to the new theater that had stadium seating. that place was packed like crazy with old folks. well, they seemed old at the time, but they were only like btwn like 35 and 50 for the most part. not too many kids, and none were my age. so i was just miserable at this point. and then the movie came on with those words, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.... and then BAM! STAR WARS! i was on the edge of my seat eyes wide open drinking in every detail from that point on. on the way back mom asked me if i liked it, and i said ya. i didnt wanna go into to much detail about how i liked it bc that would have meant she was right about something i would like, and that just couldnt happen.

so anyhoo, since then ive been the hugest star wars fan i know(not counting the people i met at C3, which is the only convention ive been to so far and it kicked some tall and large ###). every time i bring up star wars people tend to moan or tell me to be quiet for the most part bc thats alot of what i talk about, is star wars and how it relates to like, everything in life. my room is star warsed out like crazy. i have posters, calenders, postcards and the like over pretty much every inch of my wall thats not hiding behind furniture. i dont have blinds or curtains on my windows, partly bc my mom just hasnt gotten any for me, and partly bc ive got enough star wars stuff to fill up the space that my windows have. we got shelves installed all the way around the room about a foot below the ceiling to hold up star wars stuff. it couldnt all fit on my dresser and desk. even with the dresser and the desk and the walls and the shelves, i still have boxes of star wars stuff i have no where to put but storage. i dont collect anything in particular, i get what i can get my hands on. helmets, action figures, party favors, fast food toys, board games, books, video games, lightsabers, standups, costumes, hats, coin banks....you get the picture. right now i have this standup of boba fett signed by jeremy bulloch(super nice guy, met him at C3). its number 12 out of 1000(which i happened to get at C3). i had the opportunity to buy 1 out of 1000, but it was damaged in a few ways, and number 12 was in much better shape. so i think that and my jango fett helmet are my favorite peices of my collection at this point. i know what i have isnt much compared to some people, but im only 15 and ive only been collecting for 8 years on a kids budget. so i think ive done pretty well for myself considering.

so i was wandering, what was your first time seeing star wars like, what do you collect(if anything) and how much of it do you have, whats your favorite piece(s)...you get the idea. hope lots of you respond!
