Blizzard 2 has stress on the go. Fishing boats disappearing, no lunch and being misquoted by the BBC on their website: I said 'North WEST', dammit! Anyway, we're still looking for him, but he's been missing for days now. I hate it when we have to terminate a search with nothing found. Not even a lifering or a fish box so far. No EPIRB, no radio calls. Nothing at all. It feels like we're abandoning him to his fate, but we've had the RAF and lifeboats and all sorts out looking for him. The RAF were using some of the most advance maritime patrol gear in the world and still drew a blank.
I hate these ones. I much prefer the ones with happy endings, especially if I get to talk to them afterward. Makes you feel all warm inside when you see the effects of your work. I'm surprisingly soft-hearted for a gigantic engine of death bearing a striking resemblance to a cow in a suit of armour, y'know.
Anyway, I'm typing this in a brief quiet period, but I doubt it'll last, so this is Blizzard 2 signing off.
