Today I began to ponder on the EU. I mean think about it people, it adds so much to the movies. So much to the characters, plot, everything! I cannot imagine what SW must be like in the point of view of a casual, movie only fan. The films and EU have merged for me to be one gigantic thing. I like it better that way.
I like knowing all the battles between AOTC and ROTS. I like expanding on the characters, and giving all the tiny characters lives. I wonder what casual fans think of those small guys like Plo Koon who never get mentioned. I wonder if those small fans feel pain when the Jedi are betratyed like we do. I wonder if those fans know that border dispute on Ansion is a book on its own. Even the tiniest lines like that are so huge to us.
I wonder (in the casual fan POV) how they see time progress in the Saga. TPM-AOTC is obvious. AOTC-ROTS though- that could seem like only a few months. How would they know? ROTS-ANH is obvious too. But the whole OT could seem like only a few months. Will I ever know what the thought process is like for the casual fan?
A little off topic here, but I don't think I can do the Blog a day thing anymore. Not only is it very hard to get material to write about everyday, I am just getting too busy. I am doing a club almost everyday after school now. School itself is only getting harder and I am procrastinating on homework because I am writing blogs instead. On top of that I think my blog quality would be better if I didn't have to write mediocre entries just to have one a day. Also I have a ton of EU books I have to read and less blogging will equal more time. What do you guys think, should I cut back on it? I think I should just do one whenever I get a real good idea or something.
Another little tidbit, I started reading The Truce at Bakura....I am kinda getting bored of reading Jedi Apprentice books over and over again so I took a break.
Mandalore rocks....I gotta play KOTOR II again sometime...Man that is a beautiful shot of Onderon...
