Enough with the Oscars, there is much more important news amiss!
Guys really, we all know that Lucas doesn't get along with the movie guild, that is why he does not get many nominations; if any at all. It is something you have to learn to live with.

Dana Reeve died yesterday from Lung Cancer at the extremely young age of 44. She did not even smoke. My mother is 44 too, I could not imagine living without her. I cannot convey how terrible I feel for her son, Will; now he has no parents at all.

Many people subconsciously relate smoking to lung cancer, when in fact non-smokers are at risk too.

People believe Dana got her Lung Cancer because she used to be a singer and was exposed to a great deal of smoke where she performed; nightclubs for example.

It is really quite unfortunate because in Dana's last performance, honoring legendary Ranger: Mark Messier. You could tell her voice was deteriorating quickly. Hearing her voice crack and pitch vary was just a sign of how much pain she could possibly be in.

Tonight Larry King Live was completely dedicated to her. I couldn't help but cry a few times when they described her life and her philosophy towards it. I thought to myself "Gosh if I could have just met her once how much it would change my life. I also pondered how in my future I would want a wife like her. She was so completely devoted to Christopher; their love is unparalleled. She stuck with him through the toughest times of his life. He even said if it wasn't for her he would have committed suicide.

February 22, 2006 was the last time Larry King interviewed Dana. Coincidentally, that is my birthday, but that is irrelevant. She spoke of how herself and her son were doing in life and dealing with her cancer. She always kept a positive state of mind and never gave up; two powerful traits in a person.

On the special show tonight were a whole slew of guests, varying from the spokesperson for the Christopher Reeve Foundation, a Cancer doctor, spiritual advisors, and one of the most resilient men, a cancer survivor himself: Lance Armstrong. He spoke very fondly of Dana and said he would do anything for her son.

The 2004 democratic nominee for president, John Kerry was on the phone and spoke of his partnership with Dana. They were united in their dream for Stem Cell research; this was the dream originally envisioned by Christopher Reeve.

The spiritual advisors urged us to remember that just because someone dies they are not gone forever, their spirits still exist.

The show was so powerful; you could see the guests were on the verge of tears a great deal of the time.

I hope all of you keep Dana and Christopher in your minds and hearts forever because they are 2 of the most influential people of our era. They influence you in the most human ways; Love, affection, will to live, and support for others. You cannot find these aspects in many people.

The best thing we can imagine at this moment is Christopher and Dana united once again in heaven.
