I keep seeing this and it bothers me. Fans continue to refer to Darth Vader as Anakin. They mention how Anakin killed the younglings, or Anakin dueled with Obi-wan. And then once he gets the suit they then refer to him as Darth Vader. The truth is he is Darth Vader when he gives himself to his new Master, and in turn Sidious renames him Darth Vader. He is no longer Anakin Skywalker, he is Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan's line is ROTJ is "Your father was seduced by the dark side of the Force. He ceased to Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader." He does not say "Your father did some bad things, but once he got his suit, THAT'S when he became Darth Vader."
Also in ROTS there are references beyond the naming ritual. When Sidious contacts the Separatists he says he is sending his new apprentice "Lord Vader." Or when Yoda says "consumed he is, by Darth Vader"
So please in the future don't refer to the duel on Mustafar as "Obi-wan vs. Anakin" because it's not. It is "Obi-wan vs. Darth Vader"
OK, I've said my piece.
Long story short, the picture on the right is of Darth Vader, not Anakin Skywalker.
