 If one is to speak about bad SW lines, one must put a picture of Anakin and Padme, cause they are really THE wellspring of the most stupid and embarrassing lines of the films. But, they are not alone...
"You can't win Darth. If you'll strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine".
Darth is not his first name. this is just ridiculas...like obi's fighting here.

oh, they do? what is this- advice? wise as master Yoda....please!

as I said in another post, this line is so awful it's funny. He sounds like someone from the maffia...I cherish that line.

Thanks Palpy, cause Padme haven't noticed that her planet was invaded and her people are dying. you're the last person I would expect to state the obvious...

Han, Han...you disappoints me...that whole dialogue is not one of their best...

Anakin goes slightly crosseyed while saying "This is a happy moment. The happiest moment of my life."
While dueling Anakin shouts the dumbest line: "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!"
His voice cracks when yells to obi wan, "You underestimate my power!" and then three of his limbs are chopped off in one move.
And to add to what was previously stated by Ilovebib-
"The circle is now complete. When I last fought you I was but the learner now I am the master." Then old ben says "Only a master of evil, Darth." Darth is not his first name. Great blog!

I happen to like some of these, you look into them too much. As for Obi Wan saying Darth, its because when ANH was made Darth was his first name, it wasn't meant to be a monicker like it became, so when obi wan says it, it's like saying anakin. But without that, I think it sounds cool, kind of like obi wan mocking Anakin, by not calling him Vader, but Darth. Like a sith saying, you can't win Jedi, instead of saying there name. It's mocking him, "you can't win, Darth" I think it sounds cool

As for some of the others. "Dreams pass in time" Maybe in the SW universe, the Jedi go through a stage with dreams as they adapt, and they pass in time. "Jedi business, go back to your drinks" This one is a little weird to me too, but I feel it is to show Anakin's arrogance. "I understand your concern, Your Majesty; unfortunately, the Federation has possession of our planet." People say stuff like this all the time, its like saying, "well I want to play on that basketball court, but those guys are already playing on it." "I truly, deeply love you" I guess I just don't see anything wrong with this one. (cont)

"I don't trust him either, but he is my friend" I like this line, its classic Han dialogue. He basically says I don't trust him either cause he is a little weiry but he is trying to trust, as he shows earlier when he tells chewie to keep his eyes open, and saying he is my friend is trying to get Leia to trust him. "at least we have R2 with us" R2 seems to save the day in every film, it seems to be a little homage to that idea. "Many things will change when we reach the capital, Annie. My caring for you will remain." I agree again with this one, a littel weird, but he did just save there lives and got there ship repaired, and he made the nice necklace, im just trying to make excuses for this one, but its hard

well, mytuk03, there is no need for you to defende those lines or to try and find explanations- some of them just horrible, but that doesn't mean I don't like them...this is part of the magic and the fun. only few of them I would actually replace, so worry not. I hate to say it, but it seems you try to look into them too much...

I actually love the way Anakin says "what have I done"- I think he says perfectly...hey- we can't take all of his lines guys. from time to time he says something decent.
