I was wondering, does anyone know how Tarkin came to have a higher rank than Lord Vader? You would think that being The Emperor's apprientice that you would be second in command. But yet in A New Hope. It seems almost like Tarkin is giving orders to Darth Vader. I was wondering, does anyone know how he come to his great position? And why was he not around until after Palps became Emperor?
