Ground rules for the aspiring unbanned
Bans happen. It's a fact of internet life. But how you behave in Feedback is just as important as how you behave on the rest of boards.

Understand the mod's role.
We are not babysitters. We are not teachers. We are not here to hold your hand while you learn the ropes. We have provided many tools for you to learn how the boards and blogs work, but we are not going to walk you personally through each and every post. You're on your own.

Be polite.
Obvious, right? Not so much. A lot of people seem to equate politeness with brown-nosing, but that doesn't have to be the case. If you've been banned, coming in with your guns blazing isn't going to help matters. You just have to be reasonable. Depending on the offense, it might not help, but it certainly won't hurt. Oh, and not all mods (read: me) respond well excessive brown-nosing, so keep it in the right place.

Be brief.
This is not school. We don't need an essay. Although spelling and grammar does often count. (Hint: they're good things.)

Don't call a mod a Nazi.
This is the oldest trick in the book, and it's just laughable. These are message boards: not being able to post on them is in no way comparable to the Holocaust. Unless someone is actually praising Hitler, leave it be. Because otherwise, we are just going to laugh our blue butts off at you.
