Remember this:
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
If you are going to make personal attacks on candidates or supporters, you may well find yourself locked by a moderator of this site.
New Improved Admin-Powered Guidelines (and same rules as always):
>Everyone on the blogs are subject to the terms of service.
>No personal attacks against individuals
>No objectionable language
>No hinting at use of objectionable language
>Remember you are in charge of your own comments in your blog, including the ability to delete them, blacklist posters, or, the easiest option, just to simply to turn them off.
>If a problem is encountered, please use the
blog feedback forum.
Again, basically, the saffest rule of hoof:
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Who does this apply to?
Everyone equally. Candidates. And supporters. And well-wishers and regular posters....basically everyone that's subject to the rules of this site. No one suspended the terms of use. So blatant flaming stops, or you feel modly antlers on your backside.
My advice - stick to the program. If you're not sure about saying something because it could be flaming, don't do it. If someone is making themselves look bad, believe me, folks will notice and vote their better judgement. They don't need your help.
Since there are no real "issues" to discuss in this "campaign", since the only thing that wins or loses this thing is membership referrals, period, then there really couldn't be much negative to say about a candidate unless it has to do with them personally.
And that's a problem if you're going for a "negative campaign" here, because it puts you squarely in my target.
Coolio? You'll notice the comments are not enabled on this entry. That's because its not negotiable.
This campaign is about one thing folks - one thing only - can anyone remember?
HS memberships? Nope.
Popularity? Bzzzz. wrong.
Position? *smack* try again.
Fun. It's about fun. And its going to be about fun if I have to make people suffer. And that's no fun. So reel it in and get it back in perspective and start doing your best positive spin-doctoring, because this negativity ain't workin noooo mo.
So, one more time, try to remember:
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Ok, now everyone...deep breath. Release. There. Now you're ready to have fun again.
