So there I was, just browsing the forums like I usually do. It was about 6 pm, so I was just relaxing after a long day's work.

I mean, it was a Friday night, so what else was I going to do ?

Anywho, I clicked on one of the forums, Forum Feedback, I believe and entered one of the threads. All of a sudden, wierd icons appeared.

Upon closer inspection, they appeared to be mod tools...you know, the "lock", "ban", "delete", "destroy", and "hijack screenname" buttons.

Having anticipated my mod-ship for a few weeks, I quickly checked my email to see an email from Bonnie (bonniegrrl) confirming my mod status. I quickly replied, making my Smurf-status official.

I, along with Darth Vader, Captain Yossarian, The Broox, Hazme, and Kermit, received a warm welcome from fellow Smurfs into Smurfland.

I browsed around, excercised my new lock button, posted some redirects and answered some Forum Feedback posts. No bans....yet.

Oh, and less than 24 hours on the job, I received my first hatemail

And no, I have not edited the message's content. It's like he didn't even try, so why bother going through the effort?
