Who deals in absolutes? Sith? Jedi? Maybe both?
I was poking around on the blogs when I saw Halagad's blog tite.

It got me thinking, Obi-wan said "Only a sith deals in absolutes." Um... is he Absolutely sure? Isn't he being absolute? ?:|

I think Obi-wan was being a little loose with that statement. I agree, everyone uses absolutes. I think what Obi-wan was trying to do was get a point across to Anakin about the situation they had at hand and the whole concept of "If you're not with me, you're against me." I've been waiting for an author in the EU to pick up on this concept and flesh it out.

I think that Obi-Wan meant what he had said. And it does seem as if the Jedi dealt in absolutes as much as the Sith.

smuggler jedi has a good point with him probably just trying to get a point across but what ticked me off is that right after he says this he says i will do what i must and the activates his lightsaber but if you ask me he should have activated his lightsaber after anakin because by activating it he is saying i dont think u will really come back to me and this is the only solution left.
