As the publishing date for my You Can Draw Star Wars book gets closer and closer (Jan 15, 2007), I can't help but get excited over how much fun this book will be to promote. The artists (Matt Busch and Tom Hodges) and I have some really fun ideas which include online tutorials as well as live tutorials at comic book and sci-fi conventions around the U.S. and hopefully abroad.

We're all proud to have created something we would have loved to see as kids ourselves. I can't count how many textbooks and notebooks I covered with makeshift doodles of TIE fighters and Chewbacca portraits. So this book is special to me on more than a fan girl level. It reminds me how much fun it is to draw and let my imagination do all the directing. So I hope you all get a kick out of the book as well.
