Mechs in World War II
Here's a very impressive short, animated film showing what would happen if gigantic robots were used in WW II. The humans looks real and the action is fantastic.

The short black and white propaganda commercial at the beginning is interesting too.
Watch it here:
Mechs in the II World War

It would be great if someone in Hollywood would make another movie like Sky Captain tried to do, but have it be just robots. Like Transformers meets Pearl Harbor. Then again, I'm still waiting for a remake of The Maltese Falcon done completely with robots. Speaking of robotic falcons...

That first clip you linked makes one go "Hmm..................". Thank goodness they don't exist!!

Interesting article about the pigeons. I didn't think they could be such a nuisance.

Really cool clip. But the acrobatics inside the hangarship was a bit overdone. No pilot would do that. Then again, those robots don't exist, so why be picky about the realism?

About those pidgeons... if you soak some bread in gasoline and feed it to them... you can imagine the rest...
(I have never done so myself)

Cartoons about the War? They'll be making games about it next...

;)

Giant robots make everything better. Everything.

That was too cool :) Though it tended to pause a lot for me, I wish there was a way to fix that. But it was an awsome robot movie.

Did no one else notice that some of the music was music from Star Wars. It's very noticable when he goes up on land and goes after the medvan.

Cool video, too bad the supersophisiticated robot has such bad aim. Or maybe its a good thing... either way.

Weird. While watching the video I was thinking: "What would make this really cool is if a Japanese robot with samurai armor and a katana appeared."

Then it happened at the end!!!:^O

This is amazingly like a story my friend and I have been dreaming up since high school. If only we ever got past the talking phase. I'd love to write it. It's about 2 world wars (not referencing to the actual historical wars) using mainly mechs. Each nation has it's own distinct design. We'd best hurry, I see. Still, some questions. Were those machines mechs or merely giant robots? There is a difference. Mechs are piloted. I don't think those were. Also, why build only one, and send out the American one out so late? And they used Ep. II or II music along with Raiders of the Lost Ark. I see my friend and I better hurry with our books.
