Don't Stop Playing Journey Escape!
I'm not much of a gamer. In fact, whenever my gamer pals here me talk about my fond memories of Burger Time and Q-Bert they smirk at my lack of "living in the now."

But there is one video game that always demands respect, no matter how low-fi it is.

Behold Journey Escape!

Steve Perry and the lads from the '80s hitmaker band Journey battle against groupies who keep stealing their gear.

"The game opens with all members: Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Steve Smith, Jonathan Cain and Ross Valory jumping into their Journey "Scarab vehicle", which flies into the forehead of the big blue face wearing a space helmet. The player then gets to choose one of five planets to travel to. Each one features a game starring one of the Journey members in which he has to travel past obstacles to collect his musical instrument."

And of course, the soundtrack is MIDI files of the band's greatest hits!

Read more about it here.

I SECOND classic video games !!! I rarely played "Journey" except when I was jonesin' for the music. TRON was my biggest favorite ... played 3 hours once on one quarter in 1982 ... 969,339 total points. I was so PO'd I didn't flip a million I nearly cried. After that, I never seemed to get back in that "zone" and couldn't score more than 5 or 6 hundred thou ...

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, BG :D
