Dogs Die in Hot Cars Frontman Parties with a Sith
Next up in my ongoing series on starwars.com of interviews with bands and celebs who dig Star Wars, I had the amazing opportunity to interview Craig Macintosh -- lead vocalist and guitarist for the UK band Dogs Die in Hot Cars.

He's one of the those everyday fans that I think most of us can relate too. He grew up with the original trilogy as a kid and was blown away at Episode III as an adult. He tells some great stories about when his unknowing mom chucked a few of his prize collectibles by accident, as well as a review of Revenge of the Sith, but I think his first story about living next to Vader's nephew takes the... um.... cake.

Best quote from the interview:

"Until the age of five I lived in the same cul-de-sac as Dave Prowse's brother and every so often Darth Vader would pay us a visit," Macintosh remembers. "Our street was the typical young family on Wimpey Street where all the kids would play together. Naturally, playing Star Wars was our favorite game but knowing the real Darth, as we thought, made it even more special to us. I also have a strange distorted memory where I went Dave Prowse's nephew's birthday party and everyone brought a figure each. I brought Chewie and Dave Prowse came in his Porsche and we ate cake in what I thought was the Death Star shield base on Endor. I think I'd better ask my dad about that one."

Please read it and let me know what you think.

Next up on deck: Nickel Creek, Snow Patrol, Viva Voce and Anthrax!

Nice interview!

By the way, Is there ever going to be some kind of blog filter? Like, filtering out dumb blogs that are dumb on purpose? And is there any way we can get the forum topics out of the blogs?

yeah well if we had a dumb person filter, I would never have to admin the boards or blogs again. ;)

Unfortunately in every community space there's going to be the dumb annoying folks just like the smart and funny folks.

I have asked the mods to warn people not to turn their blogs into mini-forums. But we don't want to have too many rules on length and subject matter here, since it's a more self-expressive area than perhaps the forums.

Either way, I hope the dumb people get board with their dumb blogs and leave.
A girl can hope.

Willshadow900, those guidelines are excellent!
Mind if I link to it when I ask users to try and refrain from posting messageboard-like entries?

No problem! I was wondering if I could do that myself... but sure.
