Our ongoing series on starwars.com of
interviews with bands and celebs who dig
Star Wars seems to be quite the hit (if I'm allowed to strum my own guitar here...)
Most recently, I've interviewed:
Fall Out Boy's guitarist Joe Trohman talks about his love for
Star Tours and his endless collection of action figures in the article:
The Rise of Fall Out Boy
Aqualung's Matt Hales chats about his thoughts on
Revenge of the Sithand how his brother "inflicted his own 'realistic battle damage' to his X-wing with some candles in the garage" in the article:
Aqualung's All About Han
Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante tells us why he thinks Han Solo was the ultimate space cowboy in the article:
Faster, More Intense: Anthrax on Star Wars
I have to admit, this is the one series I really want to have fun on the site with. So if you want to suggest celebs, athletes, rockers who you know LOVE
Star Wars,
let me know and I'll see if I can contact them.
Up next I'm working on interviews with the following:
* Story of the Year
* Eisley
* Viva Voce
* Snow Patrol
* Slipknot
Not only is it fun to talk shop about Vader, droids and the like with some of coolest bands out there now, but there's something downright endearing to read about how even the hippest rockers have a soft spot for R2-D2, or still collect action figures, or never tire of playing our video games.
So I hope you are all digging the series. We'll be moving the whole shebang to the Community section of the site so it can have it's own space to grow and shine. So stay tuned!
