Here we go again -- third time lucky?!
Okay, at the point this story begins my dream had already come true, as I was lucky enough to receive a credit and portray Fighter Pilot Bravo 6 -
Lt. Gavyn Sykes in Episode I.
However, I 'only' got to visit the set of Episode II and see some of the scenes & costumes due to other filming commitments (ironically also at Elstree Studios). I say only, but I do realise how cool that still is! Yet as with all things, you always strive for more... Thanks for that Yoda
I was therefore intent not only to work in the Star Wars universe again, but also to help a friend who was Natalie Portman's stand-in/double get back on Episode III. Having heard that pick-ups (new scenes or reshoots of old scenes) were planned to take place in March 2004 at Elstree Studios, London, I contacted the nicest guy in showbiz (Rick McCallum) once again. His reply came almost immediately (in fact it came the day before I sent mine if you count the fact he was in Australia at the time!). I thought Mr McCallum was supposed to be busy...
And he said,
"great - thanks for the email - call ***** at jak films at elstree and give her all her the details of how we can reach you both - all the best - rick". Now you see why I call him the nicest guy in showbiz.
From then on I sewed a few seeds with the contact, and also with a Mr Donovan who was a Production Manager at Elstree. Rick asked me to contact Polly, but during our ongoing communication she left the company, so she advised me that he was her replacement. Yet he informed me, peculiarly, that there would be no stand-ins required due to the nature of filming.

They always use stand-ins! A bit confused, it doesn't deter me.

-'Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.' Having given it a try, I proceed to 'do' mode!...
