Sideshow 12" EU Figure
So I see that Sideshow is taking a poll on which EU character they should be producing. http://www.sideshowtoy.com/php/081905sweu.php?&source=swpoll

At the San Diego Comic-Con a month ago, it was so exciting to hear that Sideshow was taking over the 12" line from Hasbro. Nothing against Hasbro but their line has always looked... well, it could have been better. And in the last few years, it seems that the twelve inch market has exploded. Sure they are tons more expensive than the traditional 12" stuff you see at Toy R US but they are great quality and apparently very limited numbers. So you can see how they've done well in a very specialized market.

Anyway, this past week I find out that Sideshow is having this poll on the EU characters. Which one should they make? And much to my suprise (a happy surprise) they are using the Asajj Ventress image that I drew for a cover of Star Wars: Republic! The short story to that image is that she's wearing her pre dark-Jedi outfit. So although, she's still wearing a lot of black she's still a good guy-- sort of.

Now, I know that should Ventress win they will most likely not use my costume design but instead the very cool one we are all used to that Dermot Power came up with EP II. Still, I am just so excited to see my drawing somewhere other than the Dark Horse site. Is that sad? A little, I guess but for anyone who's interested check out my original drawing to that Ventress cover.
