A Place in the Galaxy
Hello there!

Well, this has been secretly brewing for a while now, and I am finally happy to announce the official launch of the website for my new feature documentary, A Place in the Galaxy.

The website introduces you to the concept of the film, plus provides an opportunity to not only find out more, but maybe even how to take part in its production :)
There are also places to post questions and comments and add your own inspirational Star Wars stories - and I think you'll enjoy navigating around the different planets.

There may be a couple of wrinkles to iron out, but I think the site is operational enough - let me know if you have any problems, I would really appreciate your feedback (and yes - I know Hoth Luke takes you to Coruscant, I'm working on that ;)).

The theme for the film is how communities grow and nurture their family members.

A Place in the Galaxy is a documentary examining the phenomenon of Star Wars and the nature of the fan community that has built up around it. The film will partly focus on the blogging and fan site community, and will investigate the relationships between fans, their common dreams, their personal stories and how the Star Wars saga has impacted their lives.

This documentary will celebrate the Star Wars community and the kindness of its family members. The tone of the film will be light-hearted and honest, and we will not be using the film to ridicule nor humiliate the Star Wars community.

I will be at C IV with my camera and will be looking for folks to 'pre-interview' - somewhat like a documentary audition. Trust me - this happens all the time! :)

I hope to bring it to the meet and greet party to get some fun footage, but don't worry if you don't want to be on film, I'll respect everyone's wishes.

Whilst there I will be shooting a mini-doc about Amira, one of the most high-profile 'Leia Slave Girls', who will be teaching belly dancing at the celebration - go here to check out her website.

So, that's all for now - I'm looking forward to receiving your feedback, and in the meantime, go check out my fan-fic if you missed it - I'm enjoying writing it and I think folks are enjoying reading it!
Chapter four is halfway done... ;)

Cheerio!
