To shut down, perchance to dream...
Greetings all, FX-9 here with a most unusual and stimulating data chip decryption for your consumption and enjoyment.

Strictly speaking, the following data stream isn't really a chip decryption, rather the transcript of a highly controversial holo-vid that was based on a memory chip some 120 years ABY.

The holo production was directed by the renowned Sullustan, Naftrat Needlenub, and was funded in part by the ERDARS (Equal Rights for Droid, Artificial and Robotic Society).

Before the hour long production could be broadcast however, several 'accidents' at all nine orbiting relay stations corrupted the image wafers beyond broadcast standards, and the remaining images were overwritten with the final episode of 'Like father, Like Dug'.

Naturally, the ERDARS was furious, as this would have shed more light on the theory that droids were developing not only emotional responses to external stimuli, but that their neural networks were capable of supporting dream states, thus furthering the argument that droids deserved equal footing with organics.

I have managed to secure a portion of the original script for your perusal, and would finally like to point out that the role of 'C-3PO' was actually played by a human in costume, how perverse!

04.008 - See Threepio in To Shut Down, Perchance to Dream.

And there you have it.

I am told that the reading of this script is greatly enhanced following a quick lick of a Felucian grub sac - but I cannot condone the use of artificial stimulants and do not recommend this.

Until next time, I remain your humble medical droid,

FX-9 out.
