I have also found some time to get some more writing done, and am forging ahead with the middle chunk of The Suns of Solamonn.

Here is chapter 11 (see below for the other chapters) - and you'll notice I am publishing them in more easily digested portions, so now I should only be wasting about six minutes of your day.

If you are new to this epic piece of fan-fic which is surely in line for a Hugo or at the very least, a Herbert, then allow me to bring you up to speed.

Setting:
The story takes place in the weeks following Order 66, and covers the breadth of the galaxy.

Characters:
Scarp Hed'n - Human jedi knight, brooding, powerful.
Pel Hed'n - Scarp's brother, also a jedi knight, risk taker.
Pidluk 'Lig' Sha'Ligg - Togruta youngling, force healer.
Janst'orr - Nautolan youngling, troubled.
Soolad - Bith youngling, out of his depth.
Sergeant Calz - Renegade clone trooper, leader of The Ashes.
Peko - Clone scout trooper, part of 41st (kashyyk) sniper
Digger - Loyal soldier, 442nd battalion
Virus - 442nd Battalion medic.
Carud 'smoke' - Phase 1 clone pilot
Rece - 38th armored div.
Marev 'rev' - part of Mace's attack battalion, now wears SBD head for helmet.
Preela - Twi'lek captain of The Sulking Rancor.
Saach - First mate, tusken female, may be a force user.
Slim and Bolts - recommissioned battledroids, now used as bouncers.
Delnan Jja - Duros mercenary, now captaining The Dogged, a Republic cruiser, hunting down The Ashes.
Commander Camm - Jja's clone trooper second in command.
RMP0019 'Cap' - Captain of the Republic Military Police, sworn to bring The Ashes to justice.

The plot:
With the jedi and their wards, and The Ashes all being renegade, it was only natural that they should gravitate toward each other. Now they are trying to reach a distant location in the Unknown Regions, hopefully to find the elusive Dr. Solamonn, a man who can give the clones longer lives, and perhaps offer sanctuary to the hunted force-users.
