And so it begins...

Just got back from the preview showing of Iron Man - and am extremely happy.

Not only did we get the new Indy trailer, and all the other fun tentpole movie trailers - but the movie was AWESOME!

Seriously, it has rocketed into my top three superhero movies, nudging out Spidey 2 and nestling next to X-men 2 and Darkman.

ILM once again pulled out all the stops - teaming up with local boys The Orphanage and not local boy Stan Winston - to deliver seamless CG integrated into the practical FX.

Downey Jr is excellent, even Gwyneth holds her own, and the script is sharp and thought-provoking.

When you go to see this, don't be a chump and leave before the end of the credits - a wonderful treat awaits you that made me whoop like a little kid.

date Posted: May 02, 2008 9:14 AM Excellent!!!! I plan to see it this weekend! I'm reminded of sitting with you guys at WonderCon finding out all about this movie for the first time. I knew then that I was definitely going to see it and would probably love it!
