It was a good run...

Howdy all,

Well, it had to happen I guess. My entries were starting to get more 'embellished' and I got rumbled by the mods.
Dark Moose sent me a nice message as to why the droid musings have to be shut down, and I can see the mods' point of view. Perhaps I was getting a bit too fan-fictiony - indeed, upon reflection I think I may have strayed from my original intention, which was to address Star Wars topics in a unique(ish) and humorous way. Oh well. Can't kill the prose

I have just copied all my previous entries to a new document, and will find somewhere legal to post them, in the meantime, FX-9 will be reassigned to a medical facility in the outer rim and the bag of chips will be returned to the ugnaught.

Unfortunately, in the process, I noticed that 'Bonk, Gonk' the power droid haikus, were missing. Heaven knows what happened to them...

I doubt I'll find the time to add more to a different site, so I'll wrap it up for now (sorry I didn't get to R5 darth pawpek), and become a sensible blogger from now on.

Thanks to hansgirl3, Stooge, and all the others (you know who you are), who responded so readily to FX-9's scrawlings - and despite my slight disappointment, thanks also to DM and the other mods, who are doing a sterling job of keeping these blogs on target.

date Posted: Jul 08, 2006 5:32 PM I'll sure miss seeing FX-9's chip decryptions, but they're cracking down around here. You can post things on an outside site and link the site to your blog here. That's an option. Here's an example. I, personally, would love it if you would consider doing this as I would love to keep reading your entries!! Please?

date Posted: Jul 08, 2006 6:15 PM Actually, the Gonk Haiku would be fine :0) encouraged even, Bossk is getting tired of being the only Haiku artist in the galaxy. It's just the dialogue stuff. I do hope you continue doing your entries, they were entertaining - lots of people just do the "look at my latest installment" entry and just link to it. You can even give a brief description...

Thanks DM - I'd be happy to carry on with some Gonk Poetry, it would be an honor to be a partner in rhyme with Bossk.

That enigmatic lizard was always one of my favorites, and I was proud to be part of the only all-Trandoshan PA in Star Wars galaxies (back in the good old days).

As an aside - if anyone reading this remembers the Wroshyr or T'Doshok wars from SWG - I was Tomsk - ah, happy days.

Anyhoo - I think hansgirl is twisting my arm - so I'll find an external link to continue my ramblings.

Gonk poems are fine. In fact -- encouraged!

Mainly what isn't fine is lengthy fan fic (look at the Terms of Service on that one) and little stories about how people hate the mods or think the VIPs are stupid -- personal attacks and the like. Because that's just basic creative flaming. And though it is creative, it's flaming. So that's why we're making sure folks around these parts understand that...

Such a shame that you will not be able to get FX-9 to decrypt more chips here. I nearly got the trust red 'sabre out and attacked the computer a la Zidane, (lovely headbutt...) I'm glad I read the bottom of the page, so I'll be able to keep track of the decryptions at a different site ( better bookmark it..)
