What does it take to be a Jedi?
"I am a Jedi. I know I'm better."

"Jedi don't have nightmares"

"That's a job for local security, not Jedi."

"I feel myself wanting more, and I know I shouldn't"

Those are just a few lines that are said by Anakin Skywalker. Apparently, he thinks he knows what it is to be a Jedi. And by knowing what a Jedi is he criticizes himself for not meeting those standards. Even trying to hide things (like nightmares he is not suppose to be having), and getting mad at others when he thinks they are belittling the status of a Jedi .

Well I got news for you Anakin. You have no idea what a Jedi is. And to tell the truth, I am pretty sure that most of the Jedi do not know either.

So first of all let me start by saying whatever I am about to put out is open to all discussion and disagreement. So without further ado:

Jedi 101

A Jedi is a force user who is dedicated to the Lightside of the Force. But just because they have special powers does not mean they are beyond normal emotions and more. Anakin, Jedi can have nightmares. You are not to good for nightmares. It can even be argued that they were premonitions. And lying to yourself is the dumbest thing to do. A Jedi, all people in fact, need to be honest and open with themselves. How else can you be open and honest with the ones you love?

A Jedi's job is what they proclaim as peacekeepers. I guess to an extent that is so. But they need to be reasonable. They are also soldiers. Not because they carry beams of laser light that can cut through limbs like paper, but because of there mentality. Being a soldier DOES NOT make you a mindless murderer. Sadly, sometimes violence is a last resort for peace.

Anakin, mi bouki, you are allowed to have emotions. To want something is normal. But when you know you want something (and especially if you are going all kookoo for coco puffs) it is a great time to be introspective. Look at why you want something and if you truly need it.

Well, I know this was a little general, but I really want to hear what you think. Bye.
