"What a welcome!" and "Commandos"
Wow! You guys know how to make someone feel welcome! I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, SW fans are all great people! Thanks for being so warm!

Ok, time for some content...

I have become obsessed with clone commandos. I have always been more interested in the stories of clones like the micro series, Medstar 1 and 2, that sort of thing. I have battlefront 1, but when I played bf2, I was amazed at the story that was told along with it. A personal diary of one of the 501st as the galaxy's plans unfolded. What got me was how the story telling followed a real, "Hey, I'm just this clone, you know?"

So I finished the campaign and then I found Republic commando used at game stop. Perfect mix of game and clone day to day life in a war. I love that game. So naturally when the books came out by Karen Traviss, I bought them, and of course love them. (I have to wait for Order 66 ah!!!) Her experience in covering real military personnel makes the books read like it was a history almost. She brings a strong fictional realism.

The last discovery I made about clone commandos was when I was action figure hunting and I spied (and snagged) the commando/super battle droid comic pack. I did not know that there were comics that spent a lot of the story with commandos. (I don't follow star wars comics because there are too many. If I started, I wouldn't stop, and I have kids to feed!) So now I am hunting for any and all comics that feature commando story lines. Wookieepedia has been a great help referencing commando appearances in comics. I just hope that I can keep a sense of control and just buy the ones I need!

So who has read comics with commandos and which ones do you like more than others?

I was amazed at the story that was told along with it. I like games that have specific story lines. It makes accomplishing something more important.

I'm not as obsessed with clones as some other people that I know, but the stories, especially Karen's, are pretty cool. You get to see who the clones really are and that they do have personalities.

I just hope that I can keep a sense of control and just buy the ones I need! That is every collector's wish, keeping control of our spending. Either that, or having unlimited amount of money (and space) to collect everything we want. :D

Welcome to the blogs!!

I'm definitely not an expert on clones. If I recall correctly, someone here wrote a blog about clone commander divisions and such........ Ah, here it is. Maybe you already know all of that information, or maybe you don't.

Anyway, the storylines in BF2 and Republic Commando were great.

MTFBWY! God bless!
