Cry for a CG Character ?....I think not
I remember a few weeks back, a fellow (or fellite) Bloger talking about how they shed a tear for Yoda's pain when "Order 66" was given. Now I have thought long and hard about this and have come to the following conclusion.

NO WAY!!! Cry for a computer generated character... Never!! I say "Send them to the Game Grid" so I can laugh merrily as they are De-rezed. I don't cry when Clippit (the lovable paperclip who is ever so helpful in the Microsoft suite of products) is confused or I send him to Electronic limbo. I don't care when a tamagotchi is sent to hell by a unfeeling Pre-Teen Nor does my vision get cloudy when My Gnome gets ripped apart by a giant ape trying to make it to Booty Bay in Worlds of Warcraft. When I think of this Electronic abomination who someone try's to call Yoda ( ESB Yoda would kick his butt) I cringe in pain.
Now if he was a puppet, that's something different, Man would my eyes run with tears, Like when Kermit sat on that moss covered log asking "Why are there so many...songs...about rainbows". Nothing says emotion more then a puppet, My sides still ache when I think of the mirth of Mr. Charles McCarthy ( Charlie to his friends). I count the puppets distant cousin in this group, the much maligned Stop Motion figure, or the stalwart hero's of the Puppetmation club. I dare you to say you did not cry when Davey and goliath were sad nor felt the suspense when Captain Scarlet faced down the mysterons. Yes Mr. Lucas, you may think that you have reached a new level of artistic expression, but I for one think that level is slightly lower then the Mt. Olympus of the Puppet.

Thank you Tom Servo.
